Today marked the opening of the new Ministry of Health and World Health Organization Office, located within the MoH Building in Suva, Fiji. This initiative will enable even closer collaboration toward the common goal, health for the peoples of the Pacific.
The office was officially opened by Permanent Secretary for Health, Women and Social Welfare - Dr Lepani Waqatakirewa as he cut the symbolic blue ribbon; alongside WHO Representative in the South Pacific, Dr Chen Ken (as pictured below).
These two dignitaries will head to Manila next week for the Western Pacific Regional Committee Meeting.
