In 2004, Brunei Darussalam had an estimated population of 357 800, with around 33% below 15 years of age and around 2.2% above 65 years of age. Population growth was 2.35% over the previous year. The total fertility rate dropped to 2.10 in 2003 from 2.40 in 1999.
